Currently, as the Chief CSR Officer, I lead impactful CSR strategies, ensuring that initiatives align with corporate sustainability goals and generate measurable results. I focus on fostering sustainable partnerships, optimizing resources for maximum impact, and empowering communities through effective social development programs. My career began as a BBA graduate with a Maters in Social Development, where I initially entered the corporate world, heading the CSR department for a large organization. There, I was responsible for strategizing and overseeing CSR initiatives, ensuring the company’s efforts contributed positively to the communities we served.
One day, during a routine meeting about a CSR initiative, I was introduced to Raghu Vamsi, the founder of Marpu Foundation. He was discussing a potential collaboration for one of our projects. As we spoke, Raghu passionately described the work Marpu was doing empowering communities, promoting sustainable development, and making real, transformative changes in people’s lives. His words struck a chord with me in a way I hadn’t expected. It wasn’t just about making a donation or running a campaign, it was about building a movement that would change lives for the better. I began diving deep into Marpu Foundation’s work and realized how closely their values aligned with mine. The foundation wasn’t just about giving; it was about empowering individuals to break free from their circumstances and build better futures. I was inspired by how Marpu focused on long-term, sustainable change rather than short-term solutions, which deeply resonated with my own goals.
After a few more conversations with Raghu, I knew I had to be part of this vision. Without hesitation, I joined Marpu Foundation as Director & Chief CSR Officer, leaving behind the corporate world I knew to focus on something more meaningful. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of leading CSR strategies that create lasting partnerships, empowering communities, and making a real difference. It’s been a journey that has perfectly aligned my skills with my passion for community-driven change, and I’ve never looked back.
