My journey to Marpu Foundation wasn’t a direct one, but rather a series of experiences that gradually led me to a place where I knew I could make the most difference. After finishing my degree, I started working in a corporate environment, focusing on business development and partnership strategies. On paper, I had a promising career ahead, but something was missing. The more I worked in business, the more I realized that while profit was important, I wanted to be part of something that would leave a lasting legacy, a positive change in people's lives.

One evening, I attended a local networking event where I met Raghu Vamsi, the founder of Marpu Foundation. We spoke about the challenges many communities face in rural India issues like lack of access to clean water, education, and basic healthcare. Raghu shared his vision for Marpu: to create a platform where individuals, businesses, and organizations could collaborate to solve these problems together. I was intrigued but still unsure of how I could contribute.

A few months later, Marpu Foundation had an opportunity to scale its operations, and they needed someone who could help build partnerships with businesses and organizations. Raghu reached out to me, recognizing my experience in business development and my desire to make a meaningful impact. Without a second thought, I knew this was where I was meant to be. I immediately joined Marpu Foundation, ready to contribute to the cause and be part of a movement that was transforming lives.

What drew me to Marpu wasn’t just the foundation’s work, but its values - the belief that real change comes from collaboration, from bringing together the strengths of different people and organizations. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team, building partnerships that have not only helped Marpu grow but have also created lasting change in the communities we serve. Every day, I am reminded that the power of working together is the key to overcoming any challenge.
